Team Blast uses the following rules and discipline slips to modify student behavior and keep students on the road to success.
Be Ready
For Class- Arrive on time with needed materials ready to start class when the bell rings.
To Learn- Listen carefully and follow teacher instructions the first time.
Be Respectful
Of Person and Property- Keep your hands to yourself and away from others’ belongings.
Towards Teachers, Students, and All Staff
Be Responsible
For Academics- Participate, attend to tasks and complete assignments on time.
For Procedures- During class, locker breaks, and transitions
For Behavior that disrupts learning- Horseplay, inappropriate behavior/language, etc.
The following procedures are used when students choose not to follow the rules.
First offense: Verbal warning. As students become familiar with the common rules and have been warned several times, they will not need this step.
Second offense: Students will fill out a Discipline Slip (see example). If a student earns three Discipline Slips in a marking period, they will be assigned an after-school detention.
Severe Clause: Serious behaviors like fighting, throwing things, insubordination, or harassment will be handled more severely. This behavior may result in an immediate detention or referral to a principal.
